Fire & EMS
Serving Almira Township and the Village of Lake Ann since 1951, ATFEMS is a combination fire department and basic life support ambulance service. Coverage is provided 24/7 by paid-on-call staff, and is also staffed 7 days a week from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM by a two person duty crew who are trained as both Firefighters and EMTs. During these hours the station is open to residents or visitors to come and check out the station, or you can also get your blood pressure and glucose checked free of charge. It is a good idea to call first to make sure the duty crew is not out on an emergency call. The station number is 231-275-5863.
The mission of the Almira Township Fire & EMS Department is to reduce the impact of
any emergency on our community through education, prevention, and service of our members.
PHILOSOPHY AND GOALS
Vision: We will provide the highest level of service to our community with pride, excellence
and compassion. This will be done through a commitment to excellence and professionalism
with the highest moral integrity.
The Almira Township Fire & EMS Department is always in need of new part-time and paid-on-call members. If you are interested in becoming a trained Firefighter, EMT or Medical First Responder, or are already trained as such, and are willing to dedicate a small portion of your life to community service, please contact the Fire Chief at email@example.com or call the station during duty crew hours. 231-275-5863.
